Grant McNair is a freelance colorist & finishing artist based in Toronto, Canada.  He is obsessed with movies, tech and image science.  With a BA in film theory, and over 10 years experience in production and post-production roles, Grant prides himself in technical and creative excellence.  His approach is centered around staying true to the creative intent of the project and creating a comfortable, exciting experience for the filmmaker.

The colorist's role goes way beyond just making things look good. Developing an overall look that fits the content is essential in creating unified visuals, and most importantly, adding to the emotional experience of the film.  It’s about drawing the audience's eye to what is important in the story.
